Important documents

The renter and the driver must have held a valid driving license for at least 1 year. In addition, depending on the country of issue of the driving license, the following conditions apply.

UAE residents must present a UAE driving license.

Drivers from GCC countries must present an original passport. GCC identification cards are not accepted.

Customers with a residence permit/work visa or a residence permit in progress must present a UAE driver’s license, which must be at least 1 year old.

If the UAE driving license is less than 1 year old, an accompanying driving license must be presented which proves that the driver has been allowed to drive for more than 1 year.

International customers from countries not listed below must also hold an International Driving License and National Driving License.

If the driving license was issued outside the country of origin, a valid residence visa or work permit is required.

The valid national driving license of the following countries is accepted:

North America: Canada, USA

East Asia & Pacific: Australia, China (national only), Hong Kong, Japan, New Zealand, Singapore (national only), South Korea

Chinese driving licenses must be translated by accredited (legal) translation centers in the UAE.

Customers must present a valid passport in Latin script as proof of identity upon rental.

Please note that we require the following documents when handing over the vehicle:

– Copy of passport along with the original passport

– Copy of driving license together with the original driving license, which must be over one year old (or older, please note the age requirements)

– valid credit card

– Customers with an existing entry visa must show proof of the entry visa

Photocopies, digital documents and driver’s licenses with restrictions will not be accepted.

Please note that we require the following documents for long term rentals:

– Proof of residence (rental agreement or copy of a title deed)

– valid visa together with the original visa stamp in the passport

– 1 undated security check as rental security for long-term rentals. The check will be returned after the rental period has ended and all outstanding payments have been cleared.

General

Vehicle rental is possible with cash payment and in conjunction with the following credit cards: all credit cards from internationally recognized credit card companies – such as American Express, Diners Club, Eurocard/Mastercard and Visa. All prepaid cards and debit cards (VISA Electron) are not accepted. The credit card must be in the driver’s name.

Special rental information when booking prepaid tariffs Prepaid tariff – Pay now

When booking a prepaid tariff, the payment method will be immediately charged with the total rental price (including booked extras and fees) before the start of the rental period. The driver and payment details are fixed when making the reservation and cannot be changed. These must be presented and verified upon vehicle pickup and must be valid at that time. Any additional costs incurred during the car rental will be charged to this credit card. There will be no refund for non-collection, late collection of the vehicle or early return.

Rebooking

A prepaid booking can be changed up to a maximum of 48 hours before the start of the rental, subject to availability, for a rebooking fee of $ 30,00. There will be no refund of advance rental payments already made/reimbursement of any difference amount. Any change to a prepaid reservation may affect the rental price. It is not possible to change your booking from a prepaid tariff to “Pay upon collection”.

Cancellation

It is possible to cancel the booking before the start of the rental period. In the event of a cancellation, the rental advance payment already made will be refunded with a cancellation fee amounting to the rental price (including any booked extras and fees) of a maximum of 3 rental days. Non-collection

If the booked vehicle is not picked up/not picked up at the agreed time, the rental price already paid will be retained in full.

Liability conditions

Liability insurance (TI)

Coverage for the rented vehicle includes third party liability insurance with a maximum property damage coverage of $ 270.000. The maximum coverage amount per injured person is unlimited.

The use of the vehicles for the transport of dangerous goods is excluded from the insurance. Any protection agreed as part of the rental agreement is void in particular if an unauthorized driver uses the vehicle or if the driver of the vehicle does not have the required driving license when the insured event occurs or the vehicle is used off-road or on race tracks.

Fully comprehensive protection (including theft protection) (LDW)

By taking out fully comprehensive insurance (including theft protection), liability can be reduced to a predetermined deductible in the event of damage or loss of the vehicle.

The insurance does not cover the return of the vehicle from Oman to the UAE. It is the renter’s responsibility to organize return transport and cover the costs in the event of damage or accident.

If the tenant takes out fully comprehensive insurance (including theft protection), he is only liable for the following deductible:

If the renter refuses full comprehensive insurance (including theft protection), he is responsible for all damage to the rental car and is liable up to the full amount of the vehicle’s value.

Top cover LDW

If the LDW is already included in the rental price, the renter can further reduce the deductible by taking out the Top Cover LDW if the driver is at least 25 years old.

If the tenant takes out the Top Cover LDW, he is only liable for the following deductible:

If the LDW is already included in the rental price, the renter can eliminate the deductible by taking out the Super Top Cover LDW if the driver is at least 25 years old.

If the renter takes out the Super Top Cover LDW, he is only liable for the following excess: $ 0,00

Interior protection

By taking out interior protection, liability can be reduced to a predetermined deductible or eliminated if the vehicle interior is damaged.

Personal Occupant Protection (POP)

By taking out personal accident protection, the protection can also be extended to cover the consequences of an accident.

Tire and windscreen protection

The tire and windshield protection offers protection for damage to tires as well as the windshield, side windows and rear window with a deductible of $ 0,00.

If tire and windscreen protection is not agreed, he is liable up to the full amount of the damage.

EXTRAS

Accessories can be booked without obligation and are available depending on availability.

One-way rentals

One-way rentals within the United Arab Emirates are possible at tariff-dependent conditions.

International one-way rentals are not permitted.

We reserve the right to charge an additional fee for unannounced and unauthorized one-way rentals.

Navigation system

Navigation systems are available for a fee.

Additional driver

A fee is charged for additional drivers, although only people with a valid driver’s license listed in the rental agreement are allowed to drive the vehicle.

Baby and child seats

Baby seats, child seats and booster seats are available for a fee.

Toll service

Unlimited express tolls

To ensure your greater convenience, you can purchase our Unlimited Express Toll, which offers unlimited use of automated toll lanes in Dubai, Sharjah and Abu Dhabi.

Vehicle refueling

All vehicles are handed over with a full tank and should be refueled at High Premium before being returned, otherwise the current prices per liter of petrol or diesel will be charged in addition to a refueling fee.

If desired, the vehicle will be refueled upon return under the conditions currently available at the station.

Alternatively, you are welcome to purchase a tank of fuel at comparable gas station prices at the time of rental and return the vehicle empty. Please note that unused fuel will not be refunded.

At the time of reservation you can purchase a full tank of fuel and then return the vehicle with an empty tank. No refunds will be given for unused fuel.

Delivery and collection

Deliveries and pickups are available at your High Premium Station for a fee.

Roadside protection

Roadside Protection is an extended breakdown protection during the rental and protects you domestically against high service and repair costs for the following self-inflicted events: locking keys in the vehicle, getting stranded due to lack of fuel, jump starting with an empty battery, losing keys and getting stuck.

Other fees and taxes

Location surcharge

When renting at certain locations, such as airports and train stations, a location surcharge is charged.

Road usage fee

Road tolls (Salik) may apply in Dubai. The car is equipped with a Salik chip attached to the windshield. A fee applies when passing through toll booths. After returning the rental car, the costs incurred will be recalculated on site.

Moving or removing the chip is not permitted. Violations may result in additional charges.

Loss of keys

If the vehicle key is lost or damaged, a fee will apply.

Smoke odor removal fee

High Premium vehicles are non-smoking vehicles. If the car requires additional cleaning due to smoke, a fee will apply.

Sanitation fee

A sanitation and collection fee will be charged in the event that personal occupant protection (PAP) has previously been rejected in a Covid 19 case.

Cleaning fee

In the event of a special cleaning procedure required after vehicle return (interior or exterior), a fee will be charged. Vehicle cleaning can also be booked in advance.

Flexi return guarantee in the Pay later tariff

If you return your vehicle earlier than agreed in the rental agreement, we will charge the rental price according to the rental agreement. For the unused rental days, you will be credited with a portion of any tariff difference.

When booking a prepaid tariff, refunds are not possible if returned early. Further information can be found in the section under Prepaid tariff – Pay now.

Flexi Late Return in both tariff options (Pay Later & Pay Now)

If you return your vehicle later than agreed in the rental agreement without notifying us of the change, we will charge a service fee of $ 15,00 for the Flexi Return Service.

This fee is in addition to any calculation of extra days that may result from the rental extension.

Flexi Return Location in both tariff options (Pay Later & Pay Now)

For returns to a location other than agreed in the rental agreement, the Flexi Return Location will incur a service fee of $ 18,00 unless we have been notified of the rental agreement changes in advance.

With the Flexi Return Guarantee you can always travel with maximum flexibility and cost-effectiveness.
